Homemade Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 1 orange or lemon
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1 Cup hot water
  • ¾ tsp powdered ascorbic acid (Vitamin C

Method

  1. Thinly peel skin from half an orange or lemon.
  2. Put in food processor with sugar and acid and chop finely.
  3. Add hot water and process until sugar dissolves.
  4. Add juice squeezed from the fruit, then strain out all the “bits”.
  5. Bottle and refrigerate up to 2 weeks.
  6. Dilute with water as needed.
    (Note: Vary the amount of acid to taste)
