SERVES: 6 cups
- 1 orange or lemon
- 1 Cup sugar
- 1 Cup hot water
- ¾ tsp powdered ascorbic acid (Vitamin C
- Thinly peel skin from half an orange or lemon.
- Put in food processor with sugar and acid and chop finely.
- Add hot water and process until sugar dissolves.
- Add juice squeezed from the fruit, then strain out all the “bits”.
- Bottle and refrigerate up to 2 weeks.
- Dilute with water as needed.
(Note: Vary the amount of acid to taste)
