Last Saturday we spent the day at the Palmerston North Esplanade for Explore Esplanade Day 2020. It was hot, very hot, but there were so many wonderful people to talk to! We had packets of seeds available for a gold coin donation, a colouring competition for the kids and the ever popular – “How many of these edibles can you name?” game – the winner of these two competitions will be announced next week. It was fantastic to have a good number of our volunteers come along for part of the day – it’s always a good chance to let people in the community know what we do. My favourite part of these events is when the kids I have taught over the last 5 or so years pop in to say hi and give me a hug ;) See a few photos from the day below!
