MATERIALS
- Glass jar or cup
- Bunch of Spring onions
- String
- Water
- Sharp knife
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut the base and root of the Spring onion off making sure there is around 3-4 cm of the onion left.
- Tie them together with some string. Not too tight!
- Fill the glass jar with enough water to come about 1/2 way up the onions.
- Put spring onions in the jar and place on a window sill.
- They should start to grow within 3-5 days.
- Keep them growing until they are long enough for use in another meal.
