It is with great pleasure I introduce the 2020 Plant to Plate Aotearoa “Green Team” members from Taonui School.
Hunter, Lilly, Chiara, Lucy, Taylor, Maddy, Kristiana, Saphire, Caitlyn, Katie and Flynn. These cool kids will join Mr McCullum and myself every Monday afternoon for the year, exploring and learning about our environment.
We will plant up new gardens, get the worm farm running smoothly, propagate plants, grow seedlings, sort out the compost bin, learn about pest and diseases, explore the nearby stream, plant native trees and look after our native birds and insects. Sounds like we’ll be pretty busy!
I will update the Plant to Plate Aotearoa website and Facebook pages for family and friends to follow us on our year long journey, and if any whanau would like to join us during the sessions we would love you to come along.
